We’re seeing plenty of Zhu Zhu pets in the top sellers this year. There’s a very interesting laser tag game that keeps appearing in toy merchants’ top selling toy lists this 2009 Christmas and holiday season. Laser tag, for the past decade at least, has been a popular activity for kids’ birthday parties and simply for weekend family fun. Now laser tag can be played at home. The 2009 Lazertag System 2PK by Hasbro is getting good reviews due to its realistic and pleasing sound effects and vibrations, responsiveness, and all-around good features.

Ucreate Music is a new system from Mattel, similar to the UDance, but it involves mixing music like a DJ or music producer. It looks great with a ton of features, including the ability to download new loops and share musical masterpieces. As easy as it is to use, it’s also quite sophisticated with its many options. Kids in the tween years will love this one.

While top toys lists by toy experts and authorities can certainly provide some great tips for holiday shopping, what toys families and kids are actually hoping for hold all sorts of gems.

Top toy lists can certainly influence children and their wishes for presents and gifts this Christmas, but sometimes they miss some special toys that will especially delight kids this holiday season. Amazon has a regularly updated list of toys that customers have added to their wish lists, and therefore has access to the toys that are “Most” wished for today, at this moment! According to these lists, Bakugan and Zhu Zhu Pets seem to be the most popular or trendy franchises for the holidays in 2009. However, we’re still seeing more educational choices, such as puzzles and games, in these top toys lists.

Each year, Amazon.com releases its Holiday Toy List, showcasing the most desired and recommended toys kids want for the holidays. Zippity Learning System by Leap Frog. Featuring Disney characters, including the likes of Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and Little Einsteins, this learning system that plugs into the TV inspires children to move as they learn. Expensive when you take into account that kids will want at least a few of the specially designed games for the system, but worth it for many.

Zhu Zhu Pets toys are hot, hot, hot, appearing on most major top toy lists this holiday season. However, they’re also selling out and many sellers have upped the prices. They’re sure to please little fans, but parents need to decide if they’re worth the extra dollars.

Scene It? Twilight Deluxe Edition by Scene It, featuring clips from the popular Twilight movie. Great fun for fans, and a good party game.

Printies Design Studio by Printies. Kids make soft stuffy toys with this kit. First, they design their stuffed toy online, print out the pattern onto included fabric sheets, and then create the cotton toy.

Princess and the Frog Just One Kiss Tiana is a new favorite doll based on the movie, The Princess and the Frog. The doll features lights and sounds…and the frog!

The new Fisher Price Smart Fit is an interesting system that includes an activity pad that plugs into your television, and kids follow on-screen activities that encourage them to run, jump, stomp, and walk. What’s a Christmas toy season without a new Elmo offering?

Fisher Price Elmo’s Tickle Hands allow kids to don a pair of red, furry, interactive Elmo-style gloves. Kids put on the Tickle Hands, press Elmo’s nose (his face is a badge on one of the gloves), and the hands begin to vibrate and move, along with the sounds of Elmo’s trademark giggle. Tap his nose again, and Elmo instructs kids on how to do his fancy new dance called the Tickle Hand Groove. The set comes with a DVD that teaches kids to do this groovy Elmo dance.
